GROUND ACTIVITIES
Quality service ensuring punctuality and regularity is very important for customers, and all airlines make this their priority.
Ground Operations staff (headed by Laura Cavatorta) at our network airports provide quality service for passenger assistance, aircraft on the runway, and baggage handling. They carry out these activities directly or by coordinating them with Alitalia Airport (an Alitalia Servizi company), with other handling companies or with airport management.
While everything is carefully planned, unexpected weather or technical conditions may affect normal flight schedules. This is where Operational Coordination (headed by Roberto Barchitta) plays its part. Experts are on duty twenty-four hours a day to manage flight operations and find the best ways of resolving critical situations.
Finally, Engineering & Systems Maintenance (headed by Livio Donatiello) schedules aircraft maintenance which is carried out by Alitalia Servizi personnel, ensuring the airworthiness of the fleet according to the requirements of international regulations. | | |
