ALITALIA AIRPORT
Alitalia Airport is the handling company that supplies services to passengers and aircraft of Alitalia and other carriers. In operation since 2000, the company has more than 4,200 employees and manages a network of five airports: four in Italy (Fiumicino, Palermo, Catania and Naples) and one abroad (London Heathrow).  For client airlines, the core business of Alitalia Airport is carrying out check-in services, passenger boarding and deplaning, sorting and delivering luggage, tracing lost items, sorting goods and mail, onboard and ramp cleaning, and the centring of aircraft.

In particular, at the Fiumicino airport alone, passenger assistance is carried out by more than 1,100 employees. The Alitalia Airport logo appears on 105 check-in desks, 24 ticket desks, four VIP lounges, one Sala Amica (Friendly Lounge) for special assistance, and two lost & found offices (domestic and international). Aircraft assistance is provided by 1,984 employees. Every day they operate 63 runway freight elevators, 46 buses for passenger transport, 155 automobiles, 25 vehicles for towing and pushing aircraft, 237 tractors and more than 1,000 carts for moving luggage.
In its daily activities, the company is guided by an approach based on two principles: sharing the needs of the carrier to whom you supply assistance, and considering every passenger as your personal customer.
